a Pull open the burr-strips of the girt assembly (11).

 b Pull the HANDLE (31), and open the lace-up joint (34).

R (c) For each condition, safety the parachute-pin in position with R nylon cord that has a minimum breaking strain of 9.0 lb (4.0823 R kg).
 (2) Install the pack-assembly (9) on the door:

 Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.

 Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.

 Apply materials: WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE

 1 Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the threads

 of the bolts (24).

 (d)
 Lift the pack-assembly (9) on the supports (14). NOTE : The pack-assembly (9) weighs approximately 25.0 kg (55.12

 lb).

 (e)
 Hold the pack-assembly (9) at an angle inboard, on the supports (14).

 (f)
 Connect the electrical connector (15):

 (g)
 Install the bolts (24) and the washers (25) and torque the bolts

 (24) to between 1.6 and 1.8 m.daN (11.79 and 13.27 lbf.ft).

 Make sure that there is no play between the packboard (13) and the door.

 (3) Install the girt bar (10) in the floor fittings (26): CAUTION : DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL
_______ START THE SEQUENCE OF STEPS THAT PULLS THE INFLATABLE ASSEMBLY OUT OF THE PACK-ASSEMBLY.
 (a)
 Remove the SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (98D52103500000) (4) and set the emergency control-handle (3) to the ARMED/AUTOMATIC position.

 (b)
 Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).

 (c)
 Hold the door in this position, to prevent it to open fully.

 (d)
 Install the girt bar (10): CAUTION : DO NOT PULL THE GIRT ASSEMBLY. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL OPEN

 THE PACK ASSEMBLY.

 1 Push the girt bar (10) into the floor fittings (26), until the
_ spring pawls (29) click into position.
R 2_ Make sure that the stiff part of the girt assembly (11) isR folded outboard over the girt bar (10). See SECTION K-K.
 (e)
 Carefully lower, and lock the door with the door control-handle (2).

 (f)
 Make sure that the control-shaft levers (28), have engaged correctly in the holes in the girt bar (10).

 (g)
 Set the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED/MANUAL position.

 (h)
 Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).

 (i)
 Hold the door in this position, to prevent it to open fully.

 (j)
 Make sure that the girt bar (10) has engaged correctly with the telescopic forks (27) of the door structure.

 (k)
 Carefully lower, and lock the with the door control-handle (2).

 (l)
 Set the emergency control-handle (3) to the ARMED/AUTOMATIC position.

 (m)
 Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).

 (n)
 Hold the door in this position, to prevent it to open fully.

 (o)
 Make sure that the girt bar (10) has engaged correctly in the floor fittings (26).

 (p)
 Carefully lower, and lock the door with the door control-handle (2).

 (q)
 Make sure that the girt bar (10) can move freely: 1 Move the emergency control-handle (3) from the ARMED/AUTOMATIC

_
 to the DISARMED/MANUAL position four times.

 (r)
 Set the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED/MANUAL position, and install the SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (98D52103500000) (4).

 (4)
 Remove the lock pin (18) from the regulator valve assembly (19):

 (a)
 Fold the wire cable (76) and wind the ORANGE flag (77) around the folded wire cable (76).

 (b)
 Put the folded lock pin (18) into the pocket (75).

 (5)
 Install the decorative-cover (20) on the pack-assembly (9): NOTE : There are three different types of decorative-cover (20)
