Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

(4)
Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(5)
Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
-In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
-On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(6)
Put the spillage container below the applicable door actuator to collect hydraulic fluid.
(7)
Make sure that the cargo door is safetied in its opened position (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).

A. Preparation for the Installation
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(2)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(3)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the thread of the proximity switch (2).
(4)
Install a new back-up ring (3) and a new O-ring (4) to the replacement proximity switch (2).

B. Installation of the Proximity Switch
(1)
Install the proximity switch (2) in the switch housing (5).
(2)
TORQUE the proximity switch (2) to 0.2 m.daN (17.69 lbf.in).

Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (1) and from the receptacle of the proximity switch (2).
(4)
Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
(5)
Safety the proximity switch (2) with lockwire, corrosion-resistant steel, dia. 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).

D. Preparation for the Test
(1)
Remove the warning notices from the ground service panel and the overhead panel of the cockpit.
(2)
Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3)
Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
(4)
Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(5)
Remove the support struts from the applicable cargo door and the access platform (if required).
(6) Bleed the door hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 52-36-00-600-001). Subtask 52-36-18-710-050
E. Operational Test
(1)
Open and close the applicable cargo door hydraulically (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2)
Make sure that the green indicator light on the applicable control panel is on when the door is open and goes off when the door starts to close.
(3)
Make sure that there are no leaks around the switch housing (5).

(4) Open the applicable cargo door when the operational test is
completed.

(1)
Remove the spillage container from the door actuator.

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

Close the applicable cargo door (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
