 A. Installation of the Indicator Light (8MJ) (Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 52-35-12-991-002)
 (1) Install the lamp body (3) on the plate (13) as follows:
 (a) Install a new heat-shrink tubing (8) to the wire harness (9).
 (b) Connect the wire harness (9) to the terminals of the lamp body (3) with a soldering iron.
 (c) Cover the soldering terminals of the lamp body (3) with the heat-shrink tubing (8) and heat it with a hot air blower.
 (d) Install the castle nut (11) and the lock washer (12) on the lamp body (3).
 (e) Put the lamp body (3) in position to the new seal (10) and the plate (13).
 (f) Install the lock washer (12) and the castle nut (15) on the lamp body (3).
 (g) Make sure that the distance between the lower surface of the plate (13) and the thread end of the lamp-body (3) is 4.0 mm (0.1574 in.).
 (h) If not, turn the castle nuts (11) and (15) until the distance is correct.
 (i) TORQUE the castle nut (15) with the SPANNER - WRENCH (98F52308330000) to between 0.19 and 0.21 m.daN (16.81 and 18.58 lbf.in)
 (2) Carefully assemble the plate (13) together with the seal (10) to the service panel (7) and attach them with the screw (14). 
R  (3) Prepare the installation area as follows: 
R R  (a) Remove the old sealant with a non metallic scraper from the surface of the aft control panel. 
R  (b) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area. 
R  (4) Install the service panel (7) on the aft control panel as follows:
 (a) Put the service panel (7) and the new seal (6) to aft control panel and attach them with the washers (5) and the screws (4).

 

R R  (b) Apply a bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) around the edge of the service panel (7) and the aft control panel. 
R R  (c) Let the sealant dry and protect it with PAINTS FOR DETAIL (INTERNAL AND EXTERN AL) (Material No. 07-023). 
R  (d) Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition. 
R  (e) Connect the connector (8) to the receptacle of the aft control panel. 
R  (5) Install the lamp assy (1) together with the rubber cap (2) into the lamp body (3).
 NOTE : Make sure that the rubber cap (2) covers the castle nut (15).____

 B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

 C. Operational Test
 (1) Make sure the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
 (2) Push the lamp cover (1) and examine the indicator light comes on.

 A. Close Access
 (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
 (2) Install the floor panel 152AG into the AFT cargo compartment (Ref. TASK 53-42-14-400-001).
 (3) Remove the actuator safety locks and close the cargo door (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
 (4) Close the access panel 154AR.

 

 B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
