 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
 (1)
 Make sure that the access platform is in position below the AFT cargo-compartment door.

 (2)
 Make sure that the lining from the Bulk cargo compartment door (referred to as Bulk door) and the insulation packs are removed from the work area (Ref. TASK 52-33-13-000-001).

 (3)
 If necessary, open the Bulk door sufficiently to get access to the applicable components (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-006).

 (4)
 Make sure that the fully opened Bulk door is safetied with an applicable support device.

 (5)
 Make sure that the access platform in position in front of the Bulk door.

 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the mating surfaces of the joint assemblies (48), the lever (77) and the main lever (66).

 (5)
 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to the mating surfaces of the flange bearings (36).

 (6)
 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005) to the mating surface of the hook arrester (81).

 (7)
 Apply a layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-011) to the splines of the joint assemblies (48) and the barrel locks (31).

 (8) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the shaft of all bolts. R

 (5) Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005) to the mating surface of the hook arrester (81) and the attachment sheet (114) .
 (6) Apply a layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-011) to the splines of the joint assemblies (163) and the tooth shaft (149).
 (7) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the shaft of all bolts.
