Apply a thin layer of the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the bolt (2), the washers (19) and the nut (18).
(b)
Put the eye-end (1) in its installation position and attach it with the bolt (2), the washers (19) and the nut (18).
(c)
Tighten the nut (18) and safety it with the cotter pin (17).
(d)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-005) to the head of the bolt (2) and the nut (18)
(6)
Remove the pip-pin (6) from the rigging hole of fuselage fitting and put it in the stowage hole.
(7)
Install the air intake diffuser and the elbow (Ref. TASK 49-16-45-400-002).

E. Adjustment Procedure
(1)
Close the APU access doors 316AR and 315AL (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(2)
Make sure that the locking hooks of the quick-release fasteners are correctly engaged in the clevises (14).
(3)
Measure the force necessary to move the lever (16) of the latch (15) with the spring gage (capacty min. 20.0 daN (44.96 lbf).
NOTE : The force must be between 8.0 daN (17.9847 lbf) and 18.0 daN
____ (40.4656 lbf) and is measured 90 mm (3.5433 in.) from the rear end of the latch (15).
(4) If the force is out of tolerance, adjust the clevises (14) as follows:
(a) Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

(b) Loosen the nuts (13) and turn the clevises (14) in or out until the the force is correct.
NOTE : When you adjust the force, try at the upper tolerance

limit.
(c) Tighten the nuts (13).
(d) Adjust the clevises (14) in the sequence front-rear-center. Subtask 52-41-22-910-051
F. Preparation after Installation
(1)
Seal the head of the bolt (33) and the nut (29) with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013).
(2)
Apply to the heads of the bolts (21) ,(33) ,(41) and to the nuts (25),(29),(37) SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-005).

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the APU access doors 316AR, 315AL (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.

Put the warning notice in the flight compartment to tell persons not to start the APU.
(2)
Put the access platform in position below the maintenance door 314AR.
(3)
Release the quick-release fasteners and open the maintenance door 314AR (5).
