Install the washer (10) and the nut (25). Do not tighten the nut.

Install the upper bearing assembly:

Install one of the bushes (21) on the sleeve (6).
(b)
Install the sleeve (6) and the bushes (20).
(c)
Install the washer (21) and the retaining ring (3).

Install the lower floating bearing assembly:
(a)
Install the bushes (4) in the links (19) and (23).
(b)
Install the sleeve (6).
(c)
Install the retainer ring (3).
(8)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) to the new tabwashers (7).

Put the tabwashers (7) in position on the bolts (8).
(10)
Install the washers (11), the nuts (9) and the new cotter pins (12).

Install the bolts (5), the cupwashers (22) and the new lockwashers (2).

Install the nuts (1).
(13)
TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 4.5 and 5.5 m.daN (33.18 and 40.56 lbf.ft) with the HOOK WRENCH - ADAPTER (98AMS172327000).

Safety the bolts (5) and the sleeves (6) with the tabwashers (7).

TORQUE the nut (25) to between 5.5 and 6.2 m.daN (40.56 and 45.72 lbf.ft).

Safety the nut (25) with a new cotter pin (26).

Install the sleeve (18).

Remove the DISTANCE STRUT - FRAME 77 (98D27408406000).

Install the Y-bolt (17). NOTE : Make sure that the Y-bolt, identified with an 'L', is
____ installed on the left side; the Y-bolt, identified with an 'R', is installed on the right side.

Install the bolt (16) and the bush (15).

If the bolt (16) is safetied with a STA-LOK nut (Ref. TASK 20-22-00-400-001):

If the bolt (16) is safetied with a ABS 0738 nut: 1 Install the washer (40) and the nut (41) on the bolt (16).
1_ Install the slotted nut (14) on the bolt (16).
2_ Use the WRENCHES - NOTCHED, TIGHTENING OF NUTS NSA5454 (SL90-
374-4375) and TORQUE the slotted nut (14) to between 2.00 and
3.00 m.daN (14.74 and 22.12 lbf.ft).
3_ Use the TOOL - INSTALLATION, TAB-WASHERS STA-LOK NSA5454
(SL90-313-4375) and install the tab washer (35) with the
spring ring (36) on the slotted nut (14).
4_ Make sure that the distance between the lower side of the bolt
head and the bracket is between 3.8 mm (0.1496 in.) and 5.4 mm
(0.2125 in.).

5_ Make sure that the distance between the slotted nut (14) and
the bracket is 1.7 mm (0.0669 in.) minimum.

_ 2 TORQUE the nut (41) to between 2.00 and 3.00 m.daN (14.74 and

22.12 lbf.ft). 3 Install the locking cap (42) with a new cotter pin (43).
_ 4 Make sure that the distance between the lower side of the bolt

5 Make sure that the distance between the washer (40) and the

Put the bonding jumpers (27) in position and install the screws (28), the washers (29) and the nuts (30) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).

Lubricate the bolts (5) and the Y-bolt (17) (Ref. TASK 12-22-53-640-001).

B. Installation:
(1)
Install the bolts (8) in the link (19).
(2)
Put the links (19) and (23) in position.
(3)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) to the contact surfaces of the spacer (13) and the washers (10).
(4)
Install one of the washers (10) on the bolt (24) and push the bolt
(24) through the link (19), spacer (13) and the link (23).
(5)
Install the washer (10) and the nut (25). Do not tighten the nut.
(6)
Install the upper bearing assembly:
(a)
Install one of the bushes (21) on the sleeve (6).
