Remove the installation adaptors from the upper attach bolts (70) and install the nuts (72).

Install the attach bolts (70) in the lower attach fittings.

Remove the installation adaptors from the lower attach bolts (70) and install the nuts (72).
(k)
TORQUE the nuts (72) to between 0.57 and 0.79 m.daN (50.44 and
69.91 lbf.in).
(l)
Safety the nuts (72) with the new cotter pins (73).
(m)
Apply STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-007) to the exposed thread of the bolts. (Ref. TASK 51-75-13-916-002)

-Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the screws (68).

Put the access covers (69) in position and install and tighten the screws (68).

Put the bonding straps (71) in position and install and tighten the nuts (74), bolts (75) and the washers (76) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(q)
Disconnect the hoisting sling from the hoisting lugs.
(r)
Protective treatment.

-Remove the hoisting lugs from the tail cone and apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the lugs.

Install the hoisting lugs in the hoisting points eye end in.

Install the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-052) over the hoisting points.

Connect the APU fuel line: (Ref. Fig. 405/TASK 53-58-11-991-011)
(a)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the new O-rings (51) and install them on the shrouds (38) and (33).
(b)
Install the shroud (38) with the sleeve (54) over the fuel hose (37).
(c)
Remove the SLIDE CONE - APU FUEL and connect the nut (35) to the fitting (36).
(d)
Tighten the nut (35) (Ref. TASK 20-21-12-911-001) and safety with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.) dia.
(e)
Install the shroud (38) in the sleeve (54) and slide the sleeve
(54) over the shroud (38) and the shroud (33).
(f)
Install the retaining springs (34) and safety with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) dia.
(g)
Align the shroud (38) with the sleeve (54) and the shroud (33) and install the clamp (52).
(h)
Put the bonding straps (32), (46) and (53) in position and install and tighten the bolts (43), the washers (44) and the nuts
(49) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(3)
Install the APU air-intake flap (Ref. TASK 49-16-43-400-002).
(4)
Connect the ball-bearing control cable to the APU air intake flap diverter (Ref. TASK 49-16-41-400-002).
(5)
Install the bleed air duct: (Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 53-58-11-991-010)
(a)
Remove the blanking covers from the bleed air ducts and install a new air seal (9) and a new air seal (10) in the bleed air duct (4).
(b)
Put the bleed air duct (4) over the bleed air duct (13) and move it rearward.
(c)
Move the bleed air duct (4) forward and align it with the bleed air duct (3).
(d)
Install, but do not tighten, the V-clamp (1).
(e)
Put the rod assemblies (8) in position.
(f)
Install and tighten the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5).
(g)
Make sure that the bleed air duct (4) is correctly aligned and TORQUE the V-clamp (1) to between 0.57 and 0.79 m.daN (50.44 and
69.91 lbf.in).
(h)
Put the bonding strap (14) in position and tighten the screws (15), the washers (16) and the nuts (17) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
