Do a visual inspection of the inspection areas. Look for damage and defects in the shape of the external surface.

(b)
If you find corrosion damage:

A. Special Detailed Inspection Procedure
(1)
Do the special detailed inspection of the lower skin of the longitudinal lap joints in the crack stopper areas. Do this at the lower rivet row, STGR6 LH/RH, between FR47 and FR70, on the external surface (Ref. NTM 534102-Part.6).
(2)
Write a report if you find damage during the inspection procedure.
(3)
If you find damage:
(a)
Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-11-00-001) for the classification of the damage.
(b)
If you find corrosion damage:
-
refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-22-00-001) for the general corrosion data
-
refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-74-00-001) for the repair of the corroded areas.
