 Apply a light coat of oil to the surface of the sleeve (6).

 Install the exterior handle assembly in the housing (11).

 Extend the spring (7) to permit sufficient clearance to install the spring keeper (12) and install the spring keeper (12).

 (1)  S 424-056-B00Push the new bearing stud (5) tightly into the boss in the exterior handle (2).
 (2)  S 214-057-B00Make sure there is no clearance between the top of the boss and the shoulder of the bearing stud (5).
 (3)  S 424-060-B00Install the spring (7) into the sleeve (6).
 (4)  S 644-061-B00Apply a light coat of oil to the surface of the new pin (4).
 (5)  S 644-062-B00Apply the primer at the two ends of the pin (4).
 (6)  S 424-063-B00Push the pin (4) into position through the spring (7) while the primer is wet.

 (8)  S 424-065-B00Install one or more new washers (8) as necessary to get the dimension of -0.05 to -0.14 inch (-1.27 to -3.56mm) from the exterior handle (2) to the cargo door outer skin (30).
 (9)  S 424-066-B00If the hinge assembly is removed, do the step that follows: (a) Install the four rivets (9) to attach the hinge assembly to the housing (11).
