 (a)  
Put the spacer in the hole in the hinge arm.

 (b)  
Make sure the spacer touches the face on the other side of the slot in the hinge arm. 1) Make sure there is not a clearance between the flange of

 the spacer and the hinge arm. a) Put washers on the spacer if there is a clearance between the flange and the hinge arm.
 NOTE: It is not satisfactory to use more than
____ 5 washers.

This task gives the steps to repair the holes in the torque tube, the hinge pin and the sleeves. This task makes an unsatisfactory hole larger. Then, the task installs a bolt with a larger diameter.

Remove the sleeves, hinge pins and torque tubes (AMM 52-41-11/401).

Repair unsatisfactory holes in the hinge pins, sleeves and torque tubes.

 NOTE: Satisfactory holes have a diameter from 0.2487 to 0.2497

 inch.

 (a)  
Ream the holes to make the diameter from 0.3120 to 0.3130 inch.

 (b)  
Put the Alodine in the area of the repair (AMM 51-21-41/701).

 (c)  
Put the primer in the area of the repair (AMM 51-21-99/701).

 (3)  Install the sleeves, torque tubes and hinge pins with the applicable bolts, washers and nuts (AMM 52-41-11/401).

You can repair cracks that are less than 45 degrees away from the centerline of the door stop fitting. If the crack is not in this area, you must replace the stop fitting.

Saw to cut a 0.06 +/-0.01 inch slot in the door stop fitting
