Push the cover to get to the guide plates.

 (c)  
While you push down on the latch pin, put the guide arm in its position on the guide plates.

 NOTE: You can move the door lightly to help you put

 the guide arm in its position.

 (d)  
Install the latch lever screw (8), nut (18), washers (19) , latch lever (20), and shaft (21).

 (e)  
Install the radius links (16 and 27). 1) Align the hole in the radius links with the hole in the

 guide arm.
 2) Put the pin (26) in the guide arm

 CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL A USED RETAINING RING (25).
_______ A USED RETAINING RING CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO NOT MOVE FREELY.
 3) Install a new retaining ring (25).

 FORWARD ENTRY DOOR GUIDE ARM - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A. This procedure contains two tasks:
 (1)  
The removal of the guide arm from the forward entry door

 (2)  
The installation of the guide arm on the forward entry door.

Procedure

 S 034-002-B02
 (1)  
Disconnect the guide arm from the fuselage.

 (a)  
Open the door sufficiently to get to the radius links (5 and 23).

 (b)  
Remove the retaining ring (2).

 (c)  
Remove the pin (3) and the washers (25 and 30).

 (d)  
Move the radius links away from the guide arm.

Move the guide arm away from the fuselage.

 (a)  
Close the door sufficiently to get to the cover on the hinge.

 (b)  
Push the cover on the hinge until you can get to the guide arm.

 (c)  
Pull the guide arm out and away from the guide plates.

Disconnect the guide arm from the door.

 (a)  
Remove the four bolts that hold the fitting (1) to the hinge support.

 (b)  
Remove the bolt that attaches the guide arm to the fitting.

Remove the latch lever mechanism from the guide arm.

 (a)  
Remove the nut (28) that holds the latch lever.

 (b)  
Remove the nut (9) that holds the trigger screw (29).

 (c)  
Remove the washers and the latch lever (26).

 (d)  
Remove the latch lever screw (10), spacers (12), spring (13), link (14) and washers from the latch lever shaft (18).

 (e)  
Remove the trigger screw (29), cam (15), trigger (27) and washers from the trigger shaft (18).
