Do a check of the force that is necessary to open the door.

Move the inner handle to the open position.

 (b)  
Push on the assist handle with a spring scale to open the door. 1) Push 90 degrees to the centerline of the handle. 2) At the same time, push the same direction as the inner

 (c)  
Make sure the door opens with 60 pounds maximum.

Do a check of the force that is necessary to close the door.

 (a)  
Release the latch lever.

 (b)  
Use the spring scale to pull the door closed. 1) Pull 90 degrees to the centerline of the assist handle. 2) At the same time, pull the same direction as the inner

 (c)  
Make sure the force that is necessary to close the door is from 25 to 35 pounds.

Do a check of the torque that is necessary to operate the handle.

Install the torque wrench C52008-1 on the internal door handle.

 (b)
Open the door to the cocked position.

 1)  See that the torque you use is not more than 420 pound-inches.

 (c)
Open the door fully.

 1)  See that the torque you use is not more than 600 pound-inches.

 (d)
Close the door until the seals touch the door opening.

 1)  See that the torque you use is not more than 600 pound-inches.

 (e)
Close the door fully.

 1)  See that the torque you use is not more than 700 pound-inches.

 (f)
Remove the torque wrench C52008-1 from the inner door handle.
