Connect the guide arm to the door.

 CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE DOOR. WITH THE GUIDE ARM DISCONNECTED, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR WHEN YOU MOVE IT.
 (a)  
Put the door in the cocked position.

 (b)  
Connect the attach fitting to the hinge support with the four bolts.

 (5)  
Attach the guide arm to the hinge link (7).

 (a)  
Align the holes in the hinge link with the holes in the guide arm.

 CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL A USED RETAINING RING (6).
_______ A USED RETAINING RING MAY CAUSE THE DOOR TO NOT MOVE FREELY.
 (b)  Install the pin (5) and the retainer ring (6).

 (6)  
Do this check to make sure the door operates correctly.

 (a)  
Close the door.

 (b)  See that the forward and the aft latch rollers engage the latch fittings at the same time. 1) Make a large change in the length of the guide arm.
 NOTE: It is best to make a large change first, then

 make a small change.

 a) Remove the attach fitting from the hinge support. b) Make the guide arm longer to move the aft edge of the door outboard.
 NOTE: You can make the guide arm shorter to move
____ the aft edge of the door inboard.
 c) Install the attach fitting on the hinge support.
 2)  Make a small change in the length of the guide arm. a) Remove the keeper channel (18). b) Loosen the check nut (15). c) Turn the adjustment fitting (17).
 NOTE: This changes the length of the guide arm.
____
 d) Tighten the check nut.
 e) Install the keeper channel.

 1. General

 A. This procedure contains these tasks:
 (1)  
The removal of the torque tube from the structure.

 (2)  
The installation of the torque tube in the structure.

Procedure

 S 014-002-B00
 (1)  
Remove the door from the airplane (AMM 52-13-00/401).

 S 014-003-B00

 (2)  
Remove the access panel between the top and the bottom hinge arms.

 (3)  
Disconnect the torque tube.

 (a)  
Remove the bolts from the sleeves.

 NOTE: If the bolt and nut is cut for airplane structure
____ clearance, discard the bolt and nut.
 (b)  
Move the sleeves away from the hinge pins.

 (c)  
Move the torque tube vertically to remove the sleeves.

 (4)  
Remove the torque tube from the structure.

Remove the lower hinge pin as follows:

 (a)  
Remove the lower hinge pin bolt, washers, compression spring, thick O-ring and thin O-ring.
