 2) Make sure the rod end lubrication fittings on the snubber
 (18) are inboard.
 3) Install the washers (24) and bolts (23) to attach the
 attach fitting (16) to the hinge support (17).
 4) Install the snubber bolt (22), washer (20) and nut (19) to
 attach the snubber (18) to the stop link (21).
 (c) Connect the hinge arm.
 1) Engage the hinge arm (15) with the hinge link (11).
 2) Install the bolt (12), the washers (13), and the nut (14).

 (5)  Connect the door to the airplane at the top hinge.
 (a) Connect the guide arm (10).
 1) Install the attach fitting (6) to the hinge support (7)
 with the four bolts.
 (b) Connect the hinge arm (5).
 1) Engage the hinge arm (5) with the hinge link (1).
 2) Install the bolt (2), the washer (3), and the nut (4).

 (6)  Remove the wood block from the door.

 (7)  Install the hinge arm covers, the stop pins, and the door seal.
 NOTE: It is only necessary to install these parts on a new door.____
 (a) Install the hinge arm covers.
 1) Put primer on the bolts that hold the hinge covers to the
 hinge arms.
 2) Attach the hinge covers to the hinge arms with the bolts.
 (b) Install the stop pins on the edges of the door.
 1) Put a layer of corrosion preventive compound on the threads
 of the stop pins.
 2) Put the stop pins on the door.
 (c) Install the door seal (Ref 52-09-13/401).

 AFT ENTRY DOOR - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A. This procedure contains four tasks:
 (1)  
The operational test of the aft entry door

 (2)  
The adjustment of the aft entry door

 (3)  
A special adjustment to correct "soft unlatching"

 (4)  
The functional test of the aft entry door.

 2.  Aft Entry Door Operational Test_______________________________
 A. General
 (1)  
This test is an operational check of the aft entry door. It makes sure the door operates satisfactorily. This test does not make sure the door is adjusted correctly.

Procedure

 (1)  
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
Use the external handle to open the aft entry door.

 (a)  
Pull the handle from the recess.

 (b)  
Turn the handle clockwise. 1) See that the door moves inboard. 2) See that the AFT ENTRY light on the P5 panel comes on.

 (c)  
Fully turn the handle clockwise (180 degrees). 1) See that the door moves to the cocked position.

 (d)  
Put the handle in the recess.

 (e)  
Move the door through the door opening until it is in the open position.
