 CAUTION:_______ BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE SEAL. DO NOT MAKE CUTS, TEARS, OR HOLES IN THE SEAL. DAMAGE TO THE SEAL CAN EASILY OCCUR.
 (b)  Use the door seal installation tool (or a smooth, rounded tool) to push the outboard edge of the seal into the seal retainer. Push the seal vertical to the seal edge to keep the seal smooth.
 NOTE:____ Use liquid soap to lubricate the seal during the installation
 (3)  S 424-007Install 2-3 inches of the seal into the seal retainer at the center of each side of the door.
 (4)  S 424-008Install the remaining parts of the seal.
 (5)  S 424-009Make the seal smooth. lip of the seal. Remove the wrinkles and the waviness in the
 (6)  S 864-011Close the door.
 (7)  S 214-010Visually make sure the lip of the seal is smooth and flat against the bulb seal.

 LIGHT SEALS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is the removal of the light seal. The second task is the installation of the light seal.
 TASK 52-09-07-004-001
 2.  Remove the Light Seal (Fig. 401)_____________________
 A.  Procedure
 S 024-010
 (1)  
For a light seal installation at a hinge, do these steps:

 (a)  
Remove the hinge screws that hold the seal between the hinge and the partition.

 (b)  
Remove the light seal.

 (2)  For a light seal that is bonded to the partition, pull the seal to break the adhesive bond between the seal and the partition.

 3.  Install the Light Seal (Fig. 401)______________________

Leather Punch, 0.22 Inch Diameter Hole

Procedure

 S 424-011
 (1)  
For a light seal installation at a hinge, do these steps:

 (a)  
Put the light seal in the correct position on the partition.

 (b)  
Make holes in the seal flange that align with the holes in the hinge.

 (c)  
Install the decorative screws to hold the seal between the hinge and the partition.

 (2)
For a light seal that is bonded to the partition, do these steps:

_______ YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM SOLVENTS. SOLVENTS ARE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. SOLVENTS MAY BE FLAMMABLE OR HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT. REFER TO PRODUCT MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS (MSDS) AND LOCAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPER HANDLING PROCEDURES.
 (a)  
Clean the partition surface. Remove the unwanted adhesive with Ethyl Alcohol, or IPA and a clean cloth.

 (b)  
Apply the adhesive to bond the light seal in the correct position on the partition. Make sure that when the door is closed the seal will be compressed equally along its length.
