NOTE: Do not turn the pin more than 30 degrees.

Install the locking clips on the door stop pins.

 (f)  
Connect the upper and lower gate pushrods

 NOTE: Do not change the adjustment of the gate pushrods.

 (g)  Adjust the stop pins on the lower gate.
 1)  Adjust the stop pins on the lower gate to get a clearance of 0.001 to 0.007 inch between the stop pin and the stop pad.
 2)  Open the door and turn each stop pin until a groove in the pin aligns with the closest groove in the stop fitting bushing.
 NOTE: Do not turn the pin more than 30 degrees.

 3)  Install the locking clips on the lower gate stop pins.
 4)  Apply sealant on the inboard side of the lower gate stop pins.
 (h)  
Make sure the latching and unlatching torques are correct.

 (i)  
Make sure the stop pins do not contact the stop pads when you latch the door.

 Install and tighten the nuts on all of the pushrod bolts.

 Make sure all the jamnuts on the pushrods are tight.

 Install and adjust the upper and lower hinge covers.

Install the hinge covers.

 (b)  
Make sure there is no debris, such as nuts or bolts, in the hinge cavity.

 (c)  
Close and latch the door. 1) Make sure the clearance between the covers and the body skin is 0.09 inch minimum. 2) Make sure the clearance between the forward and center covers is 0.05 inch minimum.

 3)  Make sure the clearance between the covers, adjacent fasteners, and cam plates is 0.05 inch minimum.
 CAUTION: DO NOT BEND THE TORSION SPRING TO CHANGE ITS SHAPE.
_______ THIS CAN PUT TOO MUCH LOAD ON THE SPRING AND SHORTEN THE SPRING LIFE.
 4)  Make sure the torsion spring returns the forward cover to its position.
 (d)  Operate the door between the fully closed and latched positions. 1) Make sure the covers operate smoothly. 2) Make sure there is no interference, friction or binding
 between the covers and components.
 NOTE: The small contact between the aft hinge cover
____ and the door cutout during door operation is acceptable.

 Remove the restraint from the door warning switch plunger.

 (4)  S 425-052Install the hinge and torque tube covers on the inner side of the door.
 (5)  S 625-078Apply a faying surface seal to the hinge and torque tube covers (AMM 51-21-03/701).
 (6)  S 425-055Install the perimeter seal and its retainer on the door.
 (7)  S 425-068Install the door lining support angles (if removed).
 (8)  S 425-056Install the entry door lining (AMM 52-11-02/401).
