(7) Make sure the following adjustments are satisfactory:
NOTE:____These adjustments are related. When you change one of them, you must continue to check and change the other adjustments until they are all satisfactory. Refer to the appropriate steps to make these adjustments.
(a)
The clearance between the latch roller and the latch fitting (4 loccations).
(b)
The flushness between the door skin and the body skin
(c)
The handle torque
(d)
The upper and lower gate overcenter dimension.

Do a check of the blade seal (Fig. 503) (ref 52-09-02/201).
(a)
Make sure the door is closed and latched.
(b)
Make sure the blade seal is as shown in Fig. 503.

Adjust the door centering guide.
(a)
Install the door centering guide on the door.
(b)
Move the centering guide to get the clearance as shown in Detail E, Fig. 501. 1) Change the washers on the guide attachment to move it
forward and aft 2) Move the guide on the serrated plate to move it up and down.
(c)
Tighten the nut on the centering guide shaft to keep the guide from turning.

Adjust the door hold-open device (Detail G, Fig. 501).
(a)
Fully open the door.
(b)
Push 10 to 15 pound force inboard on the door to take the play out of the door hold-open device.
(c)
Make sure the forward edge of the door is 4 to 6 inches from the body skin.
(d)
Adjust the anchor plate, if it is necessary, to move the forward edge of the door. 1) Loosen the four anchor plate attaching bolts to adjust the
anchor plate.

(11)
Adjust the door stop pins (Fig. 503).
(a)
Disconnect the upper and lower gate pushrods.
NOTE: Do not change the adjustment of the gate pushrods.

CAUTION:_______ MANUALLY LIFT THE LOWER GATE WHEN YOU CLOSE THE DOOR WITH
THE LOWER PUSHROD DISCONNECTED. DO NOT TRY TO CLOSE THE
DOOR WITH THE LOWER GATE DOWN. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO
THE SPLINE TORQUE SHAFT ON THE GIRT BAR MECHANISM.
(b) Manually lift the lower gate and close and latch the door.
NOTE: You can use a flexible cord to keep the lower gate in
____ the up position.
(c)
Move each stop pin (18 locations) on the vertical sides of the door outboard until they touch the stop pads, then loosen the stop pins one-haft turn.
(d)
Open the door and turn each stop pin until a groove in the pin aligns with the closet groove in the stop fitting bushing.
