 2) Apply grease to the inner surfaces of the sprocket (16) and the torque tube sleeve (15). 3) Apply grease to all the open surfaces of the bearings in the sprocket (16).
 (b)  
Assemble the sprocket (16) on the torque tube sleeve (15).

 (c)  
Install the washer (18), and the locknut (19).

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT MAKE THE LOCKNUT (19) TOO TIGHT. IF YOU MAKE THE LOCKNUT (19) TOO TIGHT, THE SPROCKET CANNOT MOVE FREELY AND THE DOOR WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY IN AN EMERGENCY.

 (d)  
Tighten the locknut (19) with your hand and lock it with the washer tabs.

 (2)  
Install the body torque tube.

 (a)  
Attach the chain (17) to the sprocket (16).

 NOTE: The rod end (44) is attached to the chain.

 1) Install the pin from the top to connect the chain (17) to the sprocket (16). 2) Make sure the head of the attachment pin (45) on the rod end is up and the cotter pin is down. 3) Install the cotter pin (41) and the washer (42).
 (b)  
Install the lower link (27) through the lower hinge housing.

 (c)  
Install the lower bearing plate (30) and spacer (32).

 (d)  
Install the bearing plate (25) and shim (26).

 NOTE: Use the shim that you kept from the removal task or
____
 use a shim of equivalent thickness.

 (e)  Measure the clearance between the shoulder of the lower link (27) and the spacer (32) while you hold the lower link (27) up against the bearing plate (25).

 (f) (g)  Disconnect the bearing plate (25).Install the shims (31) between the spacer (32) and the lower bearing plate (30) to get a 0.01 inch clearance or less.
 NOTE:____ Do not install more than four shims.
 (h) (i)  Install the bearing plate (25).Apply the grease to fill the holes on the top side of the bearings in the bearing plates (25, 30).
 NOTE:____ This prevents the entry of water.
 (j)  Install the upper link (6) through the upper hinge housing, with the lower cam plate (7) on the lower end of the link shaft.
 NOTE:____ You will install the guide arm and the upper link together.
 (k) (l)  Install the upper cam plate (5).Install the bearing plate (10) and the shim (9) on the upper link (6) and attach the bearing and the cam plates.
 NOTE:____ Use the bearing plate (10) and the shim (9) that you kept from the removal task or use a shim of equivalent thickness.
 (m)  Apply grease to fill the hole on the upper side of the bearing in the bearing plate (10).
 NOTE:____ This prevents the entry of water.
 (n) (o) (p) (q) (r)  Install the washers (11, 12) and the locknut (13).Install the stop fitting (14) in the marked position, if it is necessary.Install the torque tube sleeve (15) and the sprocket (16) up through the stop fitting (14) to engage the upper link splines (6).Attach the bolt (48) and the torque tube sleeve (15) to the upper link (6).Install the snubber fitting (20) on the torque tube sleeve (15).

 (s)  Put the shims (40) between the structure and the snubber fitting (20).
 NOTE: Use the shims kept from the removal task or shims
____ with equivalent thickness.
 (t)  
Attach the snubber fitting (20) to the structure.
