 MAIN ENTRY DOOR NO. 5 - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is the removal of the door 5. The second task is the installation of the door 5.
 B.  There is more material on the new spare doors to permit the door to be interchangeable. You can cut off the unwanted material during the door installation.
 C.  The front and aft positions of the door are not adjustable, but the vertical and lateral positions are.
 D.  You can do the door installation adjustments with the airplane on its gear and total fuel load of not more than 60,000 pounds. The different between the fuel load on each side of the fuselage must not be more than 5,000 pounds.
 NOTE: You can do the adjustments with one of these configurations of the

 airplane lifted on the jacks:

 -
The inboard wing jacks IV and V installed with the load on each jack not more than 30,000 pounds.

 -
The inboard wing jacks IV and V, and the tail jack III installed with the load on each jack not more than 30,000 pounds.

 -
The tail jack III installed with the load on the jack not more than 4,000 pounds.

Prepare for the Removal

 (1)  
Remove the entry door lining (Ref 52-11-02/401).

Remove the sidewall panel above the door (AMM 25-59-01/401).

Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 NOTE: Make sure the EMER LIGHTS switch is in the OFF position and
____ the circuit breakers for the emergency light are open (See the removal procedure of the door lining).
 (a)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7A1 MAWEA PWR A
 2) 7B1 MAWEA PWR B

Disconnect the entry door wire.

 (a)  
Disconnect the wires that go to the door from the terminal board installed above the door sill.

 (b)  
Remove the clamp block (3) from the wire bundle at the upper door sill. 1) Move the wire bundle through the grommet in the door sill.

Procedure

 (1)  
Close the door.

 (2)  
Install the lockpin on the mode selector lever.
