(1) Extend the trailing edge flaps to the 40-unit position. To extend them, do this task: Extend the
Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.

(2) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Deactivation, TASK 27-51-00-040-801.

(3) Do this task: Inboard Flap Support Aft Fairing Removal, TASK 27-51-18-000-802.

(4) Remove the upper skin panel [4] from the outboard end of the main flap [1]:
(a) Remove the bolts [3] that attach the upper skin panel [4] to the main flap [1].
(b) Remove the upper skin panel [4].

(5) Remove the lower skin panel [58] from the inboard end of the main flap [1]:
(a) Remove the bolts [57] that attach the lower skin panel [58] to the main flap [1].

(b) Remove the lower skin panel [58].

(a) Remove the bolts [42] that attach the leading edge panel [40] to the main flap [1].
(b) Remove the leading edge panel [40].
D. Inboard Aft Flap Mechanism Removal
SUBTASK 27-51-14-020-001
(1) Remove the aft flap drive rod assembly [43]:
(a) Remove the nuts [49], washers [48], bushings [47], washers [46] and bolts [45] that attach
the aft flap drive rod assembly [43] to the drive rod fitting [44] and the crankshaft
assembly [17].
(b) Remove the aft flap drive rod assembly [43].

(2) Remove the interconnect push rod assembly [18]:
(a) Remove the nut [25], washer [24], washer [22], bolt [21] and bushing [23] that attach the
interconnect push rod assembly [18] to the crankshaft assembly [17].
(b) Remove the nut [15], washer [14], washer [12], bolt [11] and bushing [13] that attach the
interconnect push rod assembly [18] to the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
(c) Remove the interconnect push rod assembly [18].

(3) Remove the crankshaft assembly [17]:
(a) Remove the nut [55], washer [54], washer [52], bolt [51] and bushings [53] that attach the
crankshaft assembly [17] to the ribs [41].
(b) Remove the crankshaft assembly [17].

(4) Remove the aft flap push rod assemblies [34]:
(a) Remove the nut [31], washer [30], washer [28], bolt [27] and bushing [29] that attach the
outboard aft flap push rod assembly [34] to the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
(b) Remove the nut [31], washer [30], bushing [29], washer [28] and bolt [27] that attach the
inboard aft flap push rod assembly [34] to the inboard bellcrank assembly [67].
(c) Remove the nuts [79], washers [78], washers [76], bolts [75] and bushings [77] that attach
the aft flap push rod assemblies [34] to the aft flap [2].
(d) Remove the aft flap push rod assemblies [34].

(5) Remove the cable assemblies [19] and cable assemblies [64]:
(a) Remove the locking clips [66] from the turnbuckles [65].
(b) Turn the turnbuckles [65] to loosen the cable assemblies [19] and cable assemblies [64].
(c) Remove the nuts [62], washers [61], washers [60] and bolts [59] that attach the cable
assemblies [64] to the inboard bellcrank assembly [67].
(d) Remove the nuts [38], washers [37], washers [36] and bolts [35] that attach the cable
assemblies [19] to the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
(e) Remove the cable assemblies [19] and cable assemblies [64].

(a) Remove the nut [9], washer [8], washer [6], bolt [5] and bushings [7] that attach the
outboard bellcrank assembly [33] to the main flap [1].
(b) Remove the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
