a) Tighten the nut [73] to 330-410 pound-inches (37.3-46.3 newton-meters) if the bolt
[67] is not lubricated.
b) Tighten the nut [73] to 210-250 pound-inches 23.7-28.2 newton-meters) if the bolt [67]
is lubricated with grease, D00633 or grease, D00013.
5) Install the pin [74].
(c) Connect the adjust link [35] to the aft fairing assembly [2]:
1) Put the adjust link [35] in its location on the aft fairing assembly [2] with the washer [65],
washer [66], washer [56], bushing [61] and bushing [62].
NOTE: Install the same number of washers [65], washers [66] and washers [56] in the
same location as you removed.
2) Install the bolt [63], washer [64], washer [58] and nut [59].
3) Measure the clearance between the washer [58] and the flange on the bushing [57].
4) If the clearance is not 0.010 to 0.025 inch (0.25 to 0.64 millimeters), change the location
of the washer [65], washer [66] and washer [56]:
a) Remove the nut [59], washer [58], washer [65], washer [66], washer [56], washers
[64], bolt [63], bushing [61] and bushing [62].
b) Change the location of the washer [65], washer [66] and washer [56].
c) Install the bushing [61], bushing [62], bolt [63], washer [64], washer [65], washer
[66], washer [56], washer [58] and nut [59].
d) Make sure the clearance between the washer [58] and the flange on the bushing
[57] is in the limit of 0.010 to 0.025 inch (0.25 to 0.64 millimeters).
5) Install the pin [60] in the nut [69].
(d) Connect the adjust rod assembly [43] to the aft fairing assembly [2]:
1) Install the bushing [52], bolt [50], washer [51], washer [53] and nut [54] to attach the
adjust rod assembly [43] to the aft fairing assembly [2].
2) Install the pin [55] in the nut [54].

(2) Install the aft fairing assembly [2]:
(a) Connect the jumper wires [23]:
1) Lift the forward end of the aft fairing assembly [2] until you can put the jumper wires [23]
on the studs.
2) Install the washers [12] and nuts [11] to attach the jumper wires [23].
3) Apply sealant, A02315 to the nuts [11].
(b) Connect the forward end of the aft fairing assembly [2] to the transmission attach fitting [10]:
1) Lift the forward end of the aft fairing assembly [2] until it aligns with the transmission
attach fitting [10].
2) Install the bushing [18], pivot bolt [16], washer [17], washer [19] and nut [20].
3) Tighten the nut [20]:
a) Tighten the nut [20] to 630-700 pound-inches (71.2-79.1 newton-meters) if the pivot
bolt [16] is not lubricated.
b) Tighten the nut [20] to 440-470 pound-inches (49.7-53.1 newton-meters) if the pivot
bolt [16] is lubricated with grease, D00633 or grease, D00013.
(c) Connect the aft end of the aft fairing assembly [2]:

1) Move the attach beam assembly [42] until it aligns with the flap track [6].
2) Install the bushing [38], bolt [36], washer [37], washer [39] and nut [40].
3) Tighten the nut [40]:
a) Tighten the nut [40] to 630-825 pound-inches (71.2-79.1 newton-meters) if the bolt
[36] is not lubricated.
b) Tighten the nut [40] to 440-530 pound-inches (49.7-53.1 newton-meters) if the bolt
[36] is lubricated with grease, D00633 or grease, D00013.
4) Install the pin [41] in the nut [40].
5) Align the drive rod assembly [34] with the main flap [33].
6) Install the bushing [29], bolt [27], washer [28], washer [30] and nut [31].
7) Install the pin [32] in the nut [31].

(3) Do this task: Inboard Flap Support Fairing Adjustment, TASK 27-51-18-820-801.

(4) Install the access cover [15] and access cover [21] on the forward end of the aft fairing
assembly [2]:
(a) These are the panels:

(b) Put the access cover [15] and access cover [21] in their locations on the aft fairing

(c) Install the bolts [14] that attach the access cover [15] and access cover [21].

(5) Install the tailcone assembly [26] on the aft fairing assembly [2]:
(a) Put the tailcone assembly [26] in its location on the aft fairing assembly [2].
(b) Install the bolts [25] that attach the tailcone assembly [26].
(c) Fill and aerodynamically fair the clearance between the tailcone assembly [26] and the aft
fairing assembly [2] with sealant, A02315.
