(1) Open these circuit breakers and install safety tags:

(2) Remove the stabilizer trim wheel [8] from the right side of the control stand [13]:
(a) Remove the bolt [9] that attaches the stabilizer trim wheel [8].
(b) Remove the stabilizer trim wheel [8] from the shaft.

(3) Remove the upper side cover [7] and lower side cover [11] from the right side of the control
stand [13]:
(a) Remove the screws [10] and the pocket assembly [12] from the lower side cover [11].
(b) Remove the screws [6] that attach the upper side cover [7] and the lower side cover [11] to
the control stand [13].
(c) Remove the upper side cover [7] and the lower side cover [11] from the control stand [13].

(4) Remove the stabilizer trim lightplate [3] from the control stand [13]:
(a) Remove the screws [4] and remove the stabilizer trim lightplate [3].

(b) Remove the nuts [17], washers [16] and washers [15] that attach the wires [14] to the
stabilizer trim lightplate [3].

(5) Remove the screws [2] and bolt [5] and remove the control stand cover [1] from the control stand
[13].
D. Flap Lever Position Switch Adjustment
NOTE: The adjustment of the flap lever position switches [19] is changed by moving the cam [21] on
the flap control lever drum [20].

(1) Disconnect the electrical connector [18] for the flap lever position switches [19]:
(a) To get access to the electrical connector [23] below the control stand [13, do this task].
Open this access panel:

(b) Disconnect the electrical connector [23].
(c) Remove the screws [24] and washers [25] that attach the electrical connector [18].
(d) Remove the electrcial connector [18] from the control stand [13].

(2) Move the flap control lever to the 25-unit position.

(3) Loosen the screws [22] that attach the cam [21] to the flap control lever drum [20].

(4) Move the cam [21] fully forward.

(5) Adjust the cam [21] on the flap control lever drum [20]:
(a) Do a continuity check between these pins on the electrical connector D5150 [18]:
1) Make sure there is continuity between pins 8 and 9.
2) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 9 and 11.
(b) Move the flap control lever to the middle position between the 25-unit and 30-unit detents.
(c) Do a continuity check between these pins on the electrical connector D5150 [18]:
1) Make sure there is continuity between pins 8 and 9.
2) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 9 and 11.
(d) Hold the flap control lever in the middle position between the 25-unit and 30-unit detents.
(e) Slowly move the cam [21] on the flap control lever drum [20] aft until the flap lever 30-unit
switch operates.
1) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 8 and 9.
2) Make sure there is continuity between pins 9 and 11.
(f) Tighten the screws [22] that attach the cam [21] to the flap control lever drum [20].
1) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 8 and 9.
2) Make sure there is continuity between pins 9 and 11.

(a) Make sure there is continuity between pins 8 and 9.
(b) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 9 and 11.

(7) Move the flap control lever to the 30-unit position.
(a) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 8 and 9.
