(a) Put the upper side cover [1] and the lower side cover [3] in their position on the control

NOTE: The lower side cover [3] goes under the upper side cover [1].
(b) Install the screws [8] that attach the upper side cover [1] and lower side cover [3] to the
control stand [7].
(c) Install the pocket assembly [6] with the screws [5] on the lower side cover [3].

(2) Install the stabilizer trim wheel [41] on the right side of the control stand [7]:
(a) Put the stabilizer trim wheel [41] on the shaft.
NOTE: Make sure the handle on the stabilizer trim wheel is 75 to 105 degrees from the
handle on the left stabilizer trim wheel.
(b) Install the bolt [42] to attach the stabilizer trim wheel [41].

FLAP LEVER POSITION SWITCHES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the flap lever position switches
(2) An installation of the flap lever position switches.
B. There are two flap lever position switches installed on the control stand.
(1) The flap lever 30-unit position switch
(2) the flap lever UP position switch
C. The flap lever position switches are installed on the control stand and operate with the flap control
lever.
D. There are two options for removal and installation of the flap lever position switches:
(1) You can remove and install the two flap lever position switches as an assembly.
(2) You can remove and install the two flap lever position switches independently by cutting and
splicing the wires.

(2) Remove the stabilizer trim wheel [8] from the right side of the control stand [13]:
(a) Remove the bolt [9] that attaches the stabilizer trim wheel [8].
(b) Remove the stabilizer trim wheel [8] from the shaft.

(3) Remove the upper side cover [7] and lower side cover [11] from the right side of the control
stand [13]:

(a) Remove the screws [10] and the pocket assembly [12] from the lower side cover [11].
(b) Remove the screws [6] that attach the upper side cover [7] and the lower side cover [11] to
the control stand [13].
(c) Remove the upper side cover [7] and the lower side cover [11] from the control stand [13].

(4) Remove the stabilizer trim lightplate [3] from the control stand [13]:
(a) Remove the screws [4] and remove the stabilizer trim lightplate [3].
(b) Remove the nuts [17], washers [16] and washers [15] that attach the wires [14] to the
stabilizer trim lightplate [3].

(5) Remove the screws [2] and bolt [5] and remove the control stand cover [1] from the control stand
[13].
D. Flap Lever Position Switch Removal
SUBTASK 27-51-08-020-001
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector [28] for the flap lever position switches [24]:
(a) To get access to the electrical connector [28] from below the control stand [13], do this task.
