SUBTASK 27-51-14-420-001
(1) Install the inboard bellcrank assembly [67]:
(a) Put the inboard bellcrank assembly [67] in its position in the main flap [1].
(b) Install the bushings [70], bolt [68], washer [69], washer [71] and nut [72] to attach the
inboard bellcrank assembly [67].
NOTE: Install the bolt [68] with the head down.
(c) Tighten the nut [72] to 100-150 pound-inches (11.3-16.9 newton-meters).
(d) Install the pin [73] in the nut [72].

(2) Install the outboard bellcrank assembly [33]:
(a) Put the outboard bellcrank assembly [33] in its position in the main flap [1].
(b) Install the bushings [7], bolt [5], washer [6], washer [8] and nut [9] to attach the outboard
bellcrank assembly [33].
NOTE: Install the bolt [5] with the head up.
(c) Tighten the nut [9] to 100-150 pound-inches (11.3-16.9 newton-meters).
(d) Install the pin [10] in the nut [9].

(3) Install the cable assemblies [19] and cable assemblies [64]:
(a) Put the cable assemblies [19] and cable assemblies [64] in their position in the main flap
[1].
(b) Install the bolts [35], washers [36], washers [37] and nuts [38] to attach the cable
assemblies [19] to the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].

(c) Install the bolts [59], washers [60], washers [61] and nuts [62] to attach the cable
assemblies [64] to the inboard bellcrank assembly [67].
(d) Tighten the nuts [38] and nuts [62] to 50-80 pound-inches (5.6-9.0 newton-meters).
(e) Install the pins [39] in the nuts [38].
(f) Install the pins [63] in the nuts [62].
(g) Connect the cable assemblies [19] and cable assemblies [64] together at the turnbuckles
[65].
NOTE: Do not tighten the turnbuckles [65] or install the locking clips [66] at this time.

(4) Install the crankshaft assembly [17]:
(a) Put the crankshaft assembly [17] in its position between the ribs [41] on the leading edge of
the main flap [1].
(b) Install the bushings [53], bolt [51], washer [52], washer [54], and nut [55] that attach the
crankshaft assembly [17] to the ribs [41].
(c) Tighten the nut [55] to 160-240 pound-inches (18.1-27.1 newton-meters).
(d) Install the pin [56] in the nut [55].

(5) Install the interconnect push rod assembly [18]:
(a) Put the interconnect push rod assembly [18] in its position between the crankshaft
assembly [17] and the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
(b) Install the bushing [13], bolt [11], washer [12], washer [14] and nut [15] that attach the
interconnect push rod assembly [18] to the crankshaft assembly [17].
NOTE: Install the bolt [11] with the head outboard.
(c) Install the bushing [23], bolt [21], washer [22], washer [24] and nut [25] that attach the
interconnect push rod assembly [18] to the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
NOTE: Install the bolt [21] with the head up.
(d) Tighten the nut [15] and nut [25] to 50-80 pound-inches (5.6-9.0 newton-meters).
(e) Install the pin [16] in the nut [15].
(f) Install the pin [26] in the nut [25].

(6) Adjust the interconnect push rod assembly [18], cable assemblies [19] and cable
assemblies [64]:
(a) Move the crankshaft assembly [17] to the retracted position.
(b) Install the 0.2500 in (6.35 mm) rig pin, STD-4232 in the crankshaft assembly [17].
(c) Install the0.2500 in (6.35 mm) rig pin, STD-4232 in the outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
(d) If you cannot install the rig pin in the outboard bellcrank assembly [33], adjust the length of
the interconnect push rod assembly [18]:
1) Loosen the nuts [20] on the interconnect push rod assembly [18].
2) Turn the interconnect push rod assembly [18] until you can install the rig pin in the
outboard bellcrank assembly [33].
3) Tighten the nuts [20] on the interconnect push rod assembly [18].
4) Install lockwire on the nuts [20].

(e) Install the 0.2500 in (6.35 mm) rig pin, STD-4232 in the inboard bellcrank assembly [67].
(f) If you cannot install the rig pin in the inboard bellcrank assembly [67], adjust the cables:
