Equivalent Method of Using ESI for Corrosion Damage and Its Application

environment severity index ( ESI) for corrosion damage and study its application in durability design for aircraft structures. On the basis of the relationship between material/ structure corrosion and a singularity environment type/ element/ intensity , according to ASTM G102289 (Standard practice for calculation of corrosion rates and related information from electrochemical measurements) , the ESI is induced and presented. Moreover , the ESI of a synthetical environ2 ment (comprised by several different environments) under certain engineering assumptions is also provided. According to the principle of equivalence of corrosion damage , the synthetical environment and its duration time (or environment spectrum) can be presented by a normal environment and its corresponding duration time. This method can be applied to provide basis for environment equivalence in accelerated corrosion tests and generate an environment equivalent spectrum to evaluate the inspection period/ calendar life of a structure in aircraft durability design. According to correlation test results , the ESI and the environment equivalent fac2 tor (EEF) in different environments for a typical metal and several cases for converting environment spectrum are calculated. 摘 要 :建立統(tǒng)一的腐蝕損傷環(huán)境變量 ———環(huán)境嚴(yán)酷性指數(shù) ( ESI) ,并研究其在飛機(jī)結(jié)構(gòu)耐久性設(shè)計(jì)中的應(yīng)用。在材料/結(jié)構(gòu)腐蝕與單一環(huán)境類型/要素/強(qiáng)度關(guān)系基礎(chǔ)上 ,按照《由電化學(xué)測(cè)量值計(jì)算腐蝕率和相關(guān)量的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)方法》(ASTM G102289) ,引入并給出相應(yīng)的 ESI ,并在一定工程假設(shè)下 ,給出在綜合環(huán)境 (由不同環(huán)境類型
/要素/強(qiáng)度組成)作用下的 ESI。同時(shí) ,在腐蝕損傷等效原則下 ,用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的環(huán)境類型
/要素/強(qiáng)度及其作用時(shí)間當(dāng)量化地表征綜合環(huán)境及相應(yīng)的作用時(shí)間 (即環(huán)境譜),為環(huán)境加速試驗(yàn)環(huán)境當(dāng)量提供依據(jù)并形成環(huán)境當(dāng)量譜以應(yīng)用于飛機(jī)結(jié)構(gòu)耐久性設(shè)計(jì)中的腐蝕防護(hù)與控制 ( EEF) ,評(píng)估結(jié)構(gòu)的檢查周期/日歷壽命。根據(jù)相關(guān)試驗(yàn)結(jié)果計(jì)算了典型金屬材料在不同環(huán)境中的環(huán)境嚴(yán)酷性指數(shù)及環(huán)境當(dāng)量化系數(shù) ( EEF) ,給出了環(huán)境簡(jiǎn)化或折算的算例。
