switch [4] away from the cam [6] until there is not continuity through the pins.
(d) Make sure the limit switch [4] is in the correct position:
1) Pull the cable WFFB [11] to the side to turn the cam [6] slightly in the extend direction.
NOTE: Pull on the cable to deflect it approximately 1.2 inch (30.5 millimeters). Cable
WFFB [11] is the upper cable between the flap power drive unit and the flap
control unit [1].
2) Make sure there is continuity between the pins.
3) Pull the cable WFFA [12] to the side to turn the cam [6] slightly in the retract direction.
NOTE: Pull on the cable to deflect it approximately 1.2 inch (30.5 millimeters). Cable
WFFA [12] is the lower cable between the flap power drive unit and the flap
control unit [1].
4) Make sure there is no continuity between the pins.
5) Make fine adjustments of the nuts [8] until the limit switch [4] is in the correct position.
(e) Tighten the nuts [8] on the limit switch [4] to a minimum of 15 inch-pounds (1.695 Nm).
(f) Install lockwire on the nuts [8].
(g) Fillet seal with sealant, A02315

(5) Do a test of the ram air door function.
(a) Extend the trailing edge flaps to position 1. To extend the flaps, do this task: Extend the
Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.
(b) Do this task: Put the Airplane in the Air Mode, TASK 32-09-00-860-801
(c) Retract the trailing edge flaps to full up position. To retract the flaps, do this task: Retract
the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-804
(d) Wait for the ram air actuator to fully extend.

(e) Remove the electrical connector D1288 (D1290) from the ram air sensor.
NOTE: The actuator will retract when the connector is removed.

(f) Remove the electrical connector D3916 (D3918) from the ram air sensor.
NOTE: The actuator will retract when the connector is removed.

(g) Install a jumper wire between pins 1 and 2.

(h) Extend the trailing edge flaps to position 1. To extend the flaps, do this task: Extend the
Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.
NOTE: The actuator will retract slightly.
(i) Do this task: Return the Airplane to the Ground Mode, TASK 32-09-00-860-802
1) Make sure the actuator moves to the fully retracted position.
(j) Do this task: Put the Airplane in the Air Mode, TASK 32-09-00-860-801
1) Make sure that the deflector door closes and is faired with the ram air inlet ramp.
(k) Retract the trailing edge flaps to full up position. To retract the flaps, do this task: Retract
the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-804.

(6) Remove the jumper from pins 1 and 2 of the electrical connector D1288 (D1290) to the ram air
sensor.

H. Flaps Down Limit Switch S246 Adjustment
SUBTASK 27-51-63-860-011
(1) Move the trailing edge flaps until the Dimension X on the Number 4 or 5 ballscrew is 11.90 ±0.03
inches (302.26 ±0.76 millimeters), do this task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps,
TASK 27-51-00-860-803.
NOTE: The trailing edge flaps will be in approximately the 40-unit position. Do not disconnect
the torque tubes from the power drive unit to extend the flaps.

(2) Adjust the position of the Flaps DOWN limit switch [5], S246:
NOTE: It is necessary to move the limit switch [5] away from the cam for the adjustment. There
will be no continuity through the switch pins 1 and 3 when the switch operates.
(a) Loosen the nuts [10] on the limit switch [5].
(b) Use the nuts [10] to adjust the position of the limit switch [5] until the switch is depressed
