(5) Remove the aft fairing assembly [82]:
(a) Support the aft fairing assembly [82].
(b) Disconnect the aft end of the aft fairing assembly [82]:
1) Remove the nut [110], washer [109], washer [107], bolt [106] and bushing [108] that
attach the drive rod assembly [112] to the carriage [105].
2) Remove the nut [118], washer [117], washer [115], bolt [114] and bushing [116] that
attach the end of the attach beam assembly [134] to the flap track [87].

(c) Disconnect the forward end of the aft fairing assembly [82]:
1) Remove the nut [101] and washer [100] from the pivot bolt [97].
2) Remove the pivot bolt [97], washer [98] and bushing [99] that attach the aft fairing
assembly [82] to the transmission attach fitting [91].
(d) Lower the aft fairing assembly [82] until you can get access to the nuts [92] on the jumper
wires [103].
(e) Remove the nuts [92] and washers [93] that attach the jumper wires [103].
(f) Remove the jumper wires [103] from the studs.
(g) Lower the aft fairing assembly [82].

(6) If you will install a new aft fairing assembly [82], remove the fairing drive linkage from the aft
fairing assembly [82]:
NOTE: The fairing drive linkage includes the drive rod assembly [112], adjust link
assembly [120], adjust rod assembly [121] and the attach beam assembly [134].
(a) Remove the nut [126], washer [125], washer [123], bolt [122] and bushing [124] that attach
the adjust rod assembly [121] to the aft fairing assembly [82].
(b) Remove the adjust link assembly [120] from the aft fairing assembly [82]:
1) Remove the nut [137] and washer [138] from the bolt [142].
2) Remove the bolt [142], washer [143], washer [144] and washers [135].
NOTE: Make a note of the thickness and location of the washers [135].
3) Remove the bushing [140] and bushing [141] from the aft fairing assembly [82].
(c) Remove the nut [132], washer [131], washer [129], bolt [128] and bushing [130] that attach
the adjust link assembly [120] to the attach beam assembly [134].
(d) Remove the nut [110], washer [109], washer [107], bolt [106] and bushing [108] that attach
the drive rod assembly [112] to the attach beam assembly [134].
(e) Remove the nut [126], washer [125], washer [123], bolt [122] and bushing [124] that attach
the adjust rod assembly [121] to the adjust link assembly [120].

(7) If it is necessary, remove the tailcone assembly [147] from the aft fairing assembly [82]:
(a) Remove the bolts [148] that attach the tailcone assembly [147] to the aft fairing
assembly [82].
(b) Remove the tailcone assembly [147] from the aft fairing assembly [82].
