(c) Apply compound, C00528 to the holes for the bolts [89].
(d) Install the bolts [89] and washers [90] to attach the fairing attach fitting assembly [95].
(e) Install lockwire between the bolts [89] and the fairing attach fitting assembly [95].

1) Lift the forward fairing assembly [81] until you can put the jumper wires [103] on the
studs.
2) Install the washers [93] and nuts [92] to attach the jumper wires [103].
3) Apply sealant, A02315 to the nuts [92].
(b) Apply primer, C00259 to the mating surfaces of the shims [96] and shim [104].
(c) If you removed the shims [96] or shim [104], put the shims [96] or shim [104] in its position.
(d) Apply compound, C00528 to the holes for the bolts [84] and bolts [86].
(e) Install the bolts [84] and washers [85] to attach the forward fairing assembly [81] to the
fairing attach fitting assembly [95].
(f) Install the bolts [86] to attach the forward end of the forward fairing assembly [81].

(3) Do this task: Outboard Flap Inboard Support Fairing Adjustment, TASK 27-51-28-820-802.
NOTE: The aft fairing assembly [82] must be installed and adjusted before you can do the
adjustment of the forward fairing assembly [81].

(4) Fill the clearance between the front of the forward fairing assembly [81] and the lower surface of
the wing with sealant, A02315.

(1) Extend the trailing edge flaps to the 40-unit position. To extend them, do this task: Extend the
Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.
NOTE: If you cannot extend the flaps, it will be necessary to open the access door [113] on the
aft fairing assembly [82].

(2) If it is necessary, open the access door [113] on the aft fairing assembly [82]:
(a) These are the doors:

(c) Loosen the screw [146] on the access door [113].
