(1) Install the seal rib angle gear assembly [5]:
(a) Put the seal rib angle gear assembly [5] in its position on the rib [10].
(b) Apply compound, C00913 to the shank and threads of the bolts [6].

(c) Install the bolts [6], washers [7], washers [8] and nuts [9] to attach the seal rib angle gear
assembly [5] to the rib [10].
SUBTASK 27-51-57-420-002
(2) Connect the torque tubes [3] to the seal rib angle gear assembly [5]:
(a) Apply grease, D00633 to the coupling sleeves [1].
(b) Put the splined couplings [3] in the coupling sleeves [1].
(c) Install the screws [4] to attach the torque tubes [3] to the seal rib angle gear assembly [5].
(d) Install lockwire on the screws [4].
(e) Remove the clamp set, SPL-1726 from the torque tube [3] outboard of the seal rib angle
gear assembly [5].

(3) If the torque tubes [3] moved, while they were disconnected, do this task: Trailing Edge Flap
Drive System Adjustment, TASK 27-51-00-820-802.

(4) Lubricate the torque tubes [3]. To lubricate the torque tube, do this task: Trailing Edge Flap
Torque Tube and Torque Tube Support Lubrication, TASK 12-22-51-640-801.
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(2) Use the primary system to extend the flaps to the 40-unit position, do this task: Trailing Edge

(a) Make sure the pointers for the flap position indicators are in the 40-unit white band.

FLAP TORQUE TUBES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the outboard wing flap torque tubes
(2) An installation of the outboard wing flap torque tubes
(3) A removal of the inboard wing flap torque tubes
(4) An installation of the inboard wing flap torque tubes
(5) A removal of the flap torque tubes in the wheel well area
(6) An installation of the flap torque tubes in the wheel well area.

(1) This task is applicable to the torque tubes outboard of the seal rib angle gearbox.
