G. Outboard Flap Inboard Track Installation
SUBTASK 27-51-25-420-007
(1) If it is not installed, install the transmission attach fitting assembly [42]:
(a) Put the transmission attach fitting assembly [42] in its location on the flap track [41].
(b) Install the bolts [65], washers [66] and nuts [67] that attach the aft end of the transmission
attach fitting assembly [42] to the flap track [41].
(c) Install the pins [68] in the nut [67].

(2) If you will use the adapter, SPL-1733, install it on the flap track [41]:
(a) Install the adapter, SPL-1733 on the flap track [41] approximately 33 inches (84 cm) aft of the
track attach fitting.
(b) Put a low profile hydraulic jack, COM-1568 below the adapter, SPL-1733 to support the flap
track [41].

(3) Install the flap track [41]:
(a) If it is not installed, install the shim [49] on the structure:
NOTE: Make sure the shim [49] is the same thickness as the shim [49] that you removed.
The original thickness of the shim [49] is on a marker on the structure.
1) Apply sealant, A00247 to the mating surface of the shim [49] and the structure.
2) Put the shim [49] in its position.
3) Apply a fillet seal of sealant, A00247 around the shim [49].
(b) Attach the aft end of the flap track [41] to the structure:
1) Lift the flap track [41] to its location on the structure.
2) Install the bolt [51], washer [50], washer [48] and nut [47] that attaches the inboard side
of the flap track [41] to the structure.
3) Install the bolt [43], washer [44], washer [45] and nut [46] that attaches the outboard
side of the flap track [41] to the structure.
(c) Attach the forward end of the flap track [41]:
1) Apply grease, D00633 to the outside of the fuse pin [61] and the inside of the bushings.
2) Install the fuse pin [61] that attaches the forward end of the flap track [41] to the track
attach fitting.
(d) Tighten the nut [47] to 1300-1800 pound-inches (146.9-203.3 newton-meters).

(e) Tighten the nut [46] to 870-1300 pound-inches (98.3-146.9 newton-meters).
(f) Make sure you can turn the fuse pin [61] in the joint with a maximum of 10 pound-inches
(1.1 newton-meters) torque.
NOTE: You can push up on the forward end of the flap track [41] to take the weight off the
fuse pin [61] when you measure the torque.
(g) Install the washer [62] and nut [63] on the fuse pin [61].
(h) Tighten the nut [63] to 330-350 pound-inches (37.3-39.5 newton-meters).
(i) Loosen the nut [63] to align the hole for the pin [64].
(j) Install the pin [64] in the nut [63].

(4) Install the failsafe fitting assembly [60] on the track attach fitting:
(a) Put the failsafe fitting assembly [60] in its location on the track attach fitting.
(b) Install the bolts [59] and washers [58] to attach the failsafe fitting assembly [60].

(5) If it is necessary, remove the adapter, SPL-1733 from the flap track [41].

(6) Install the bolt [52], washer [53], washer [54], washer [55] and nut [56] to connect the jumper wire
[57] to the flap track [41].

TASK 27-51-28-400-804.
(b) Do this task: Outboard Flap Inboard Support Forward Fairing Installation,
TASK 27-51-28-400-803.
