d) Tighten the nuts [55] on the adjustment fitting [54].
e) Install lockwire on the nuts [56].
(b) Apply grease, D00633 to the shank of the bolt [21].
NOTE: Make sure you do not get grease, D00633 on the threads of the bolt [21].
(c) Put the bellcrank assembly [19] in its position on the carriage assembly [1].
(d) Install the bolt [21] and washer [22] that attach the bellcrank assembly [19] to the carriage
assembly [1].
(e) Carefully clean all of the grease, D00633 from the threads of the bolt [21].
(f) Install the nut [24] and washer [23] on the bolt [21].

(g) Tighten the nut [24] to 760-840 pound-inches (96-121 newton-meters).

(i) Install the pin [25] in the nut [24].
(j) Attach the rubcap [17] to the bellcrank assembly [19] with the bolt [20], bolt [26], washers
[27] and nuts [28].

(8) Connect the aft flap pushrod [16] to the aft flap [3]:
(a) Apply grease, D00633 to the shank of the bolt [9] and the inside of the bushing [11].
NOTE: Make sure you do not get grease, D00633 on the threads of the bolt [9].
(b) Install the bushing [11], bolt [9] and washer [10] to attach the aft flap pushrod [16] to the aft
flap [3].
NOTE: Make sure the head of the bolt [9] is inboard.
(c) Carefully clean all of the grease, D00633 from the threads of the bolt [9].
(d) Install the nut [13] and washer [12] on the bolt [9].
(e) Tighten the nut [13] to 65-100 pound-inches (7.4-11.2 newton-meters).
(f) Install the pin [14] in the nut [13].

(1) Remove the nut [81], washer [80], washer [78], bolt [77] and bushing [79] that attach the aft flap
pushrod [84] to the aft flap [3].

(2) Remove the bellcrank assembly [85] from the carriage assembly [71]:
NOTE: You can remove the aft flap drive rod [87] and the aft flap pushrod [84] with the
bellcrank assembly [85].
(a) Remove the nuts [96], washers [95], bolt [88] and bolt [94] that attach the rubcap [86] to the
bellcrank assembly [85].
(b) Remove the nut [92], washer [91], washer [90] and bolt [89] that attach the bellcrank
assembly [85] to the carriage assembly [71].
(c) Measure and record the distance between the center of the bolt hole in the adjustment
fitting [122] and the bellcrank assembly [85].
NOTE: This distance is referred to as Dimension A. This dimension will be used during
the installation of the bellcrank assembly [85].
