Survey onWild Bird Diversity of Kunming Zoo

Abstract: Transect survey and fixed - spot observation were carried out in Kunming Zoo to study the wild bird
diversity in two periods of time from 1990 to 1992, and between October 2006 and Sep tember 2008. In total, 59
species of wild birdswere recorded which belonged to 21 families, 7 orders. Among them, 39 species (66. 1% )
were residents, 13 species (22. 0% ) were winter migrants, and 7 species (11. 9% ) were summer migrants, re2
spectively. 52 specieswere recorded from 1990 to 1992, and 47 specieswere recorded from 2006 to 2008. Based
on the population dynamics ofwild bird species surveyed in these two periods of time, the authors exp lored the con2
tributing causes and p roposed some p reliminary recommendations on the conservation of the wild bird diversity in
the zoo.

Abstract: The species and quantity of the birds flying around Baoshan airport were studied by routine survey
method during July 26 - 28 and November 16 - 20 of 2006. Totally, 57 bird specieswere recorded in the paper. Inte2
grated with the corresponding literature, the time of the birdspoccurrence, the individual weight, the hazard degree
and quantity status of the birds happening around Baoshan airportwere classified to find out the rule for the birdspac2
tivities and the seasonal distribution and the integrated bird management p roposalswere put forward.

[摘要] 對常州奔牛機場內(nèi)部及周邊地區(qū)的植被進行了詳細調(diào)查,在此基礎上從植物對鳥類活動的貢獻的大
小出發(fā),就植物在群落中的地位、高度、生活型及提供鳥類食物能力4個方面對機場內(nèi)分布植物的鳥類適宜指數(shù)
進行評估. 結(jié)果顯示機場內(nèi)鳥類適宜指數(shù)最高的植物共有7種,它們對鳥類有著強烈的吸引作用,應清除機場內(nèi)
的這些植物;另有19種植物適宜指數(shù)較高,應在機場內(nèi)嚴格控制其高度和種群大小.
